Gr 7/8 Girls Volleyball

On Tuesday, the Girls B Intermediate Volleyball team competed in Almonte against 6 other schools. They went undefeated in round robin play until the final set of the day. The team entered the playoffs as the two seed and were the only group able to take a set away from the eventual champs. The high energy play of Maddi, Piper, Anna, and Faith kept everyone on their toes. The calm consistency of Evelyn, Ella, Ruby, and Lily settled the team down when they needed a point. When they weren't able to get the ball set up perfectly, the strong returns from Izzi, Ellie, Heidi and Emily kept them in the game. The team inspired respect and envy in their opponents. They were also the loudest team by far, cheering and supporting each other constantly. The girls played some excellent volleyball throughout the day and should be proud of themselves. Way to go PDCI!

SR. BOYS' BASKETBALL

The Senior Boys' basketball team travelled to CPHS Tuesday afternoon to take on the Bears. The Devils scrapped their way to a 5-point lead at half time by relying on intense defense and teamwork as they held CP to only 16 points. PDCI got their offensive game humming in the second half and erupted for 42 points as they pulled away for a 63-37 victory. Shaye Money led the Devils with 18 points while Big P added 16 points and double digit rebounds and Dawson Neadow contributed 10 points while leading the Devils in assists. The seniors would like to thank juniors Willl Schoular and Caine Elliot for providing them with depth off the bench and congratulate Will on scoring his first point at the senior level! The Seniors host undefeated, first place Notre Dame at noon on Tuesday next week. Come out and cheer on your Devils as they strive to pull into a first-place tie in the LCIAA before the holiday break. Let's GO Devils!
